CAELUM: THE OTHER SKY

Roles: Producer and Concept Artist

Caelum is a survival-adventure game which was developed to conclude our Game Design degree. It is a single player game (with online co-op) in first person, which allows the player to take out activities such as hunting, building, farming and exploring floating islands in the sky. In the resurgence of a new population (due to almost the end of humanity by an natural disaster), the player will experience Gabi's adventure: he has to save his grandfather, Murdock, who was kidnapped by a monstrous bird creature. He must face various dangers, explore ruins, learn about the population and new life forms of the Caelum's islands.

Development Time: 5 weeks of Pre-Production; 13 weeks of Production.

Challenges: Develop a project with a team of 10 members; Develop a survival game where the player can explore the sky (aerial enviroment).

Struggles: Main struggles were the coordination to use Git Kraken's collab system between the workers who were using Unity, and game's optimization due to the nature of the game scenario.
